Immigration Attorney in Phoenix
Irena Juras
Arizona Immigration and International Business Attorney
My Journey
As an immigrant from the Czech Republic who built a life and career in the United States, I understand first-hand how life-changing—and sometimes daunting—the U.S. immigration process can be. That experience drives my passion for helping others achieve their own American dream.
I earned my first law degree in Czechoslovakia and practiced commercial law before immigrating to the U.S. Later, I obtained a second law degree—an LL.M. in International Law—from the University of Arizona’s James E. Rogers College of Law. Soon after, I served as a law clerk to the Honorable James M. Marlar, U.S. Bankruptcy Judge for the District of Arizona. That experience deepened my understanding of federal law, complex business matters, and the discipline of precise legal reasoning that continues to guide my immigration practice today. My education in both civil and common law systems gives me a rare perspective and helps me bridge cultural and legal differences for international clients.
Who I Help
Today, I focus on U.S. business immigration law, representing entrepreneurs, investors, professionals, and families from around the world. I handle complex and high-value matters including:
- Extraordinary Ability Green Cards (EB-1)
- National Interest Waiver (NIW)
- Investor Visas and Green Cards (E-2 / E-1, EB-5)
- O & P visas for athletes and entertainers
Because I speak Czech and English fluently, many Czech and Slovak clients appreciate being able to discuss their cases in their own language. This shared cultural background helps me connect personally with my clients while providing clear, precise legal guidance.
Family Immigration and U.S. Citizenship
While business immigration is the core of my practice, I am equally dedicated to helping families reunite and build their futures in the United States. I assist clients with:
- Marriage-based and family green cards
- Fiancé(e) visas (K-1 and K-2)
- Adjustment of Status and Consular Processing
- Naturalization and U.S. Citizenship applications
I take pride in guiding clients through each stage of their journey—whether they are entrepreneurs expanding their businesses or families taking their first steps toward a new life together.
My Firm
I founded Juras Law Firm, PLC in 2004. What began as a boutique bankruptcy and business practice has evolved into a firm dedicated primarily to U.S. immigration and international business law. From my Scottsdale office, I work with clients across the United States and abroad, leveraging modern technology to make the process efficient and transparent.
For case management and client service, I use eImmigration for secure filings, Lawmatics to streamline intake and automation, and Nextiva and Microsoft Outlook Exchange for communication. My goal is to automate routine tasks so I can focus entirely on strategy, advocacy, and client care.
